Ohhh my goodness gracious. Their Menudo is so freakin good. I seriously came in here thinking “I hope they have it.” And I was so happy when they did, but it was so Delightful because unlike the place I would usually go they had no bones in the meat with the soup. I don’t know about you, but that’s a plus to me. Thank you, Mother Mary and Christ Jesus

The salsa is very flavorful and the tortillas are great! I had the Carne Guisada and it was a lot of food. It’s worth the stop if you are passing through.

My husband and I come here regularly for 2 years. Their food always comes out fast and fresh! We have tried several things on the menu and always happy. I really want to make a point about how great their service always is no matter who is working that day. I swear our chips and salsa are at the table before we can even sit down most of the time, and will refill before you're finished. They're always very friendly and ensure you have everything you need.

My husband and I were driving to San Antonio and decided to stop at Chavelo's Mexican Restaurant. Don't let this small restaurant fool you, it's great!! My husband is picky with Mexican food and he loved this place. The service was amazing!!! Our first server was nice and our waitress was amazing!! They were all bilingual which was nice. My husband ordered the mixed fajitas plate and I got cheese enchiladas. The micheladas are good too. If you're in this area I definitely recommend stopping at Chavelo's. We'll definitely be back.

Drove well out of my way to come here. Worth it. I love my tacos and my guacamole. Also, when I asked for spicy salsa, I got spicy sauce. This is definitely worth the side trip even if you're not in the area. I love the atmosphere I love the food. I'm back in the area I will be stopping by again.

BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TOWN AND THE BEST MARGARITAS PERIOD!!!! The owners and staff are really cool and you can have fun here!!! Patio is really nice.

We have been here two times now and have had great food, drinks, and service. It’s family owned, which I prefer over your chain restaurants. I would recommend!!

First time at this restaurant. I came with a group and we chose to eat outside on the patio; Service was really great. I ordered the Carne Guisada plate and it was very delicious.
